Sources of Zonal Data
► The primary source of the household data is the U.S. Census.
The Census publishes STF3A files, which are a reliable source
for information on population and dwelling units composition
including auto availability and vacancy status.
► The Census Transportation Planning Package (CTPP) is
another good source for auto availability.
► Hotel and Motel information can be obtained through the DBPR
Hotel/Motel Division or local chambers of commerce.
► Local planning departments are a good source of many of the
required variables, such as parcel data, development orders,
future land use maps, and utility hookups
