Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO), FDOT
Districts, and other planning agencies in Florida.
►This process provides planners with the capability
to efficiently and economically perform analyses of
multi-modal modal transportation systems for many
planning applications.

What is FSUTMS? (Cont.)
► The first FSUTMS, , begun in 1978, was built around a set
of mainframe programs called Urban Transportation
Planning System (UTPS), distributed by the Federal
Highway Administration and the Urban Mass Transit
Administration (FHWA/UMTA).
► The second FSUTMS, , begun in 1985, was built as a
framework around Tranplan, , a family of urban
transportation planning and related software tools,
distributed by Urban Analysis Group and later Citilabs.
► The current FSUTMS is powered by Cube, , a family of
urban transportation planning and related GIS software
tools, distributed by Citilabs.
