The tame green island of Lastovo is <strong>the</strong> trademark<br />
of a vacation accompanied by untouched nature.<br />
On this island dipped into <strong>the</strong> blueness of <strong>the</strong><br />
Adriatic Sea and decanted with a string of little<br />
silver islands, you can enjoy a culture that goes back<br />
a thousand years, as well as an amazing gastronomic<br />
<strong>offer</strong>ing. Even old Hellenic statesmen, Roman senators<br />
and Austrian emperors have used Lastovo’s olive oil. For<br />
those who are capable of living life to <strong>the</strong> fullest and<br />
who are not afraid of <strong>the</strong> sound of silence, this island is<br />
<strong>the</strong> ideal place for a vacation.<br />
Archipelago Lastovo is comprised of 46 islands and ridges,<br />
and <strong>the</strong>y take up 56,2 square kilometres of overall<br />
surface. It is located south of <strong>the</strong> island of Korčula and<br />

about 60 nautical miles from Cape Gargano on <strong>the</strong> Italian<br />
side of <strong>the</strong> Adriatic. The main island Lastovo has 46,9<br />
square kilometres of surface and it is <strong>the</strong> fourteenth largest<br />
island in <strong>the</strong> Adriatic Sea.<br />
Along with Mljet, Lastovo is <strong>the</strong> most forested Croatian<br />
island, and it owns all <strong>the</strong> standard characteristics of <strong>the</strong><br />
Mediterranean area. The local winters are rainy, and<br />
<strong>the</strong> summers are dry, long and warm. Lastovo is one of<br />
<strong>the</strong> ten “paradise” gardens of <strong>the</strong> Mediterranean that<br />
make up <strong>the</strong> list of <strong>the</strong> World Wildlife Fund (WWF).<br />
