littledetail was <strong>real</strong>ly thought out. Owners<br />

Jelica Kmetović and Pave Hercigonja,<br />

with some help from architect Dunja<br />

Janjić, have created a sea-inspired home<br />

that immediatly makes you feel like you’re<br />

visiting an art gallery<br />

When she first saw her apartment in a hundredyear-old<br />

stone house in Ploče in Dubrovnik, Jelica<br />

Kmetović knew that it had <strong>the</strong> potential of<br />

becoming a lovely apartment for her and her<br />

husband Pavo Hercigonja. After spending an entire year<br />

redecorating it according to <strong>the</strong>ir own ideas, along with<br />

<strong>the</strong> help from architect Dunja Janjić, <strong>the</strong> 100 square metres<br />

of <strong>the</strong> apartment have received a whole new look, and<br />

<strong>the</strong> owner said that it’s still not finished, even if <strong>the</strong>y moved<br />

into it four years ago.<br />

The minute you enter, you can see that this is an apartment<br />

where every little detail was <strong>real</strong>ly thought out. An example<br />

of that is <strong>the</strong> glass with relief tiles on <strong>the</strong> front door, which<br />

features little boats and various inscriptions that stand for<br />

<strong>the</strong> owner’s name. Jelica’s idea for an original front door<br />
