During our classes, special attention was paid its consequence.
point – the Earth – and its movement as one of
the planets in the Solar System. Classes devoted
to becoming acquainted with the celestial sphere,
constellations and changes in the appearance of
the night sky during the year created an opportunity
to be in contact with the history of European
culture and were very popular among the participants.
The next series of classes were devoted to
the history of the calendar and the basics of time
scribing their movement. Planetarium is a place,
which is extremely suitable for this purpose, since
its geocentric structure makes it possible to observe
the complex movement of planets against
the background of stars over the period of 10 to 20
minutes. Observation of these phenomena in the
real sky would take several weeks or months. The
audiovisual devices available in the planetarium
make it possible to explain these phenomena in
measurement, i.e. to practical
use of the knowledge of
astronomy over the course
was used in their course.
