An exchange of experiences on issues of significance
to the European education for adults; for
example intellectual and social activation of the
elderly people, motivation to make educational
efforts and effective methods of educational work
with elderly people has borne fruit in the form of
higher quality of the organisation and methodology
of the learning processes. Individual articles
in this publication describe the projects’ benefits
for institutions and individuals. These articles are
worth reading because they are persuasive and reliable;
after all, they have been written by people
who have enjoyed these benefits personally. This
unique publication may have a great causative
power. It will encourage all doubtful institutions
and individuals to join the growing number of the
Grundtvig Programme beneficiaries. It is up to us
what our future will be like: “Just like the autumn
may be the most beautiful season of the year, old
age can be the best time of your life when you
enjoy life wisdom and enjoy the genuine flavour
of life while our experiences give a sense of good
work.” 7
