Sewerage Services<br />
Legislative Framework<br />
<strong>Mid</strong>-<strong>Western</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>Council</strong> delivers water supply and sewerage services services for<br />
Mudgee, Gulgong, Rylstone and Kandos under the authority of the Local <strong>Government</strong> Act,<br />
1993. <strong>Council</strong> has embraced the principles underlying this Act as being of benefit to the<br />
community it serves. Community consultation and involvement in decision-making has<br />
been increased in line with the Act in the last few years.<br />
Several other acts also affect <strong>Council</strong>’s scheme. These generally fall into three main<br />
categories as follows:<br />
