a handle provided with a lock. The lock shall be chrome-plated, of good quality and tamper-proof.<br />
Three () keys are to be provided for each lock.<br />
In addition, hasp shall be provided for the purpose of locking the door with padlock.<br />
Ventilation slits shall be provided as shown. These shall be rendered vermin-proof by fitting brass gauze<br />
screens in the interior of the kiosks. The cut-out panels, holes for the mounting of meters, test terminal<br />
block, time switches and fuses shall be provided in the front panels of the kiosks.<br />
The edge of the cutting or drilling shall be rendered smooth.<br />
The arrangement for meters and accessories will be as shown in the drawings.<br />

Internal Construction Details<br />
The kiosk shall be constructed for door mounting. A base frame on which the kiosks sites shall be<br />
provided as shown in Appendix 19 (Drawing 7C) for 2 feeder kiosk and Appendix 19 (Drawing 7F)<br />
for 3 feeder kiosks. Holes in the frame shall be provided for the passage of four floor mounted studs<br />
to which the kiosk can be anchored. A base plate with provision for cable entries shall be removable<br />
through four mounting screws at each corner.<br />
Mild steel cross bars of at least 35 mm x 2 mm with 4 mm diameter holes spaced evenly apart shall be<br />
provided for anchoring bunched conductors. Alternatively, mild steel slotted angles shall be provided<br />
and this is preferable. These cross bars shall form the framework of the kiosk.<br />

Painting and Finishing<br />
The kiosk shall be treated to prevent corrosion by rust. This can be achieved either by using electro-plated<br />
mild steel sheets or by painting the mild steel metal surface with zinc-based anti corrosive paint.<br />
The interior surface shall be painted with matt white paint.<br />
The base frame shall be black in colour.<br />
6.9 Sealing Facilities<br />
Facilities for sealing of all connection of metering wires and incoming cable at consumer’s high voltage<br />
switchboard shall be provided by the consumer.<br />
Should there be by any deviation from the foresaid requirement, the Electrical Consultant Engineer should<br />
consult TNB Distribution Division Local Office and TNB Metering Services HQ/Regional Unit.<br />
