wany jest Konradem I. Rozpoczyna on budowę
murowanego zamku na rzucie nieregularnego
czworoboku. Zachodni bok czworoboku stanowiło
skrzydło mieszkalne połączone z murami
kurtynowymi. W narożniku północno-wschodnim
wznosiła się wspomniana już okrągła wieża.
Druga wieża na rzucie prostokąta powstała
w narożniku południowo-wschodnim.
Wzniesiono również budynki dla straży zamkowej
oraz gospodarcze. Wjazd na dziedziniec
zamkowy prowadził przez bramę znajdującą
się w północnym murze, w pobliżu okrągłej
wieży, zapewne przez zwodzony most nad fosą.
W XV w. zamek ulegał kilkukrotnym przeróbkom
i rozbudowie. Największa modernizacja
miała miejsce po wojnach husyckich (spalony
w 1432 r.).
Z okresu gotyckiego zachowały się dwa zabytki
wystroju rzeźbiarskiego. Pierwszy to kamienna

tower rose in the north-east corner. The second
tower, built to a rectangular plan, was erected
in the south-east corner. Guard houses and
utility buildings were constructed, too. The courtyard
was entered through the gate in the
northern wall, near the round tower, and probably
a drawbridge over the moat. The castle
was extended and rebuilt several times. The
castle was thoroughly modernized following
the Hussite Wars (burnt down in 1432.)
Two elements of Gothic sculpture decorations
have been preserved – stone figure of a
shielded warrior, placed above the entry gate
to the courtyard, and the coat of arms of the
Dukes of Oleśnica, above the entrance to the
tower from the courtyard side.
Duke Konrad X the White, the last of the Piasts
in Oleśnica, dies without progeny in 1492.
