Reasons for major variances
The department conducted a mid-term review of its Strategic Plan 2010/2011 financial year with
the emphasis on its annual targets on 26 – 28 October 2010. During the review, the department
considered emerging issues such as departmental priorities, targets and resource allocation for the
next bi-annual of the 2010/11 financial year. The following mentioned amendments were approved
by the Minister and communicated to the Select Committee on Trade and International Relations
and the Tourism Portfolio Committee.

the planned time frames
