Reasons for major variances<br />
The department conducted a mid-term review <strong>of</strong> its Strategic Plan <strong>2010</strong>/20<strong>11</strong> financial year with<br />
the emphasis on its annual targets on 26 – 28 October <strong>2010</strong>. During the review, the department<br />
considered emerging issues such as departmental priorities, targets and resource allocation for the<br />
next bi-annual <strong>of</strong> the <strong>2010</strong>/<strong>11</strong> financial year. The following mentioned amendments were approved<br />
by the Minister and communicated to the Select Committee on Trade and International Relations<br />
and the <strong>Tourism</strong> Portfolio Committee.<br />

• The process for finalization <strong>of</strong> and<br />

the planned time frames<br />
