Code 1252-40S Credit: 1 Prerequisite: Marketing Major & MKM40B Marketing Practicum 40S provides job preparation in marketing by giving students practical experience in running and managing the school’s store. The students will perform all the tasks and duties involved in running the store, including merchandise planning & ordering, managing store “employees”, working with supervisors (the teacher), and developing and maintaining positive “customer” relations. Code 8029-30S Credit: 1 Prerequisite: Sincere Interest This course will teach the skills necessary to prepare a vehicle for refinishing. Emphasis is placed upon correct and safe methods of preparing a vehicle for the colour coat of paint. Students will be instructed on how to level a surface using fillers. Code 8034-40S Credit : 1 Prerequisite: ATB3AT, ATB3BT Instructions will include the following competency areas: In Painting and Refinishing - Correct and safe uses of all types of paint used in the auto body industry are covered as well as methods of making spot repairs. In Collision Repairs - Procedures to trouble shoot and repair problems to the vehicle's electrical systems that may be damage due to a collision are studied. - Correct and safe procedures to diagnose frame damage are covered. Basic types of frame damage are discussed and analyzed as to repair methods.
