The Sunnah is composed <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> sayings, actions <strong>and</strong><br />
silent approvals <strong>of</strong> Allah's Messenger �.<br />
Sunnah also refers to <strong>the</strong> correct Aqeedah<br />
(creed) <strong>and</strong> worship, as opposed to innovations,<br />
which is why many scholars refer to <strong>the</strong>ir books on<br />
Aqeedah as, '<strong>the</strong> Sunnah,' like 'As-Sunnah' <strong>of</strong> Imam<br />
Ahmed, 'As-Sunnah' by al-Khallah, 'Sharhus-<br />
Sunnah' by al-Barbaharee.<br />
The au<strong>the</strong>ntic narrations that have reached<br />
us about <strong>the</strong> sayings, actions <strong>and</strong> approvals <strong>of</strong> Allah's<br />
Messenger �are<br />
referred to as <strong>Hadeeth</strong>.<br />
The Sunnah is <strong>the</strong>refore contained within<br />
<strong>the</strong> au<strong>the</strong>ntic hadeeth <strong>and</strong> is synonymous with <strong>the</strong><br />
au<strong>the</strong>ntic hadeeth.<br />
