return, knowing what everyone would think of<br />
me.<br />
That is when I realized that I was about to make<br />
a bad decision based on the wrong criteria<br />
again. I needed to make a decision based on<br />
what I wanted – NOT based upon what other<br />
people wanted for me or thought of me.<br />
I made my decision to move back to Las Vegas<br />
because that is what I wanted. It made sense,<br />
considering the fact that I was broke and could<br />
live with my family. I still wasn’t sure what I<br />
was going to do. I could decide that later.<br />
I had resolved to never again put myself in a<br />
situation w<strong>here</strong> I felt stuck and hated everything<br />
about my work. I did not want to ever take a job<br />
just as a way to pay my bills.<br />
A New Opportunity<br />
Once back in Las Vegas and working a regular<br />
“job,” I found myself with an opportunity to start<br />
my own event planning company. I questioned<br />
myself: “Start a company? How? Doesn’t it take<br />
a lot of money to start a company? What about<br />
office space?” I don’t have any money. I’ve never<br />
done anything like this before. I could never<br />
be a boss! I don’t know anything about event<br />
planning. NO WAY!”<br />
<strong>The</strong> doubts came pouring into my mind. But,<br />
the opportunity sounded interesting and I<br />
thought it might even be fun. I wrote a business<br />
plan. Finally, I thought, writing all those<br />
marketing and business plans at USC was<br />
