People Can Make You Sick
I love friends and the value of good relationships,
but there are some relationships I have to keep
at a distance. I firmly believe you have to move
outside of your normal relationships to really
make something happen in your life. Why?
Living in the Past
Well…some people know too much about you
and will not let you forget it. I still have some
childhood friends who recall how bad I was in
school or how many times I screwed up early in
my career. When pursuing your goals, you don’t
need anyone reminding you of how messed up
you used to be!
That’s why you “kill a mosquito with an ax”;
because it’s crazy! If people say “You’re crazy,”
look them square in the eye and tell them, “I
know.” Doing the same thing the same way and
expecting a different outcome is even crazier!
It moves naysayers, obstacles, and unnecessary
people out of the way. (They may get hurt in the
process.)
