Roshini Rajkumar - Life—It Is Really Quite Simple
Don’t Forget the Fun!
Along with passion and a sense of mission,
it’s important to remember to have fun along
the way. The nature of my work as a journalist
was often serious or centered on life-altering
circumstances and human drama. Thankfully,
I was raised by parents who celebrated life and
focused on life’s positive aspects. The contrast
between how I was raised and where my work
took me made it apparent that having fun is
critical to keeping life simple and enjoyable.
Fun fuels my passion and keeps my mission
fresh and moving forward. Make sure that you
take time to have fun each day. You’ll see how
focusing on the lighter aspects of life will lift you
up. I know you’ll start to appreciate everything
else in your life more, too. If days pass without
a laugh or without moments of pure joy, make
a dedicated effort to spend quality time with
friends, see a movie, or do something that will
break your cycle. You owe it to yourself AND
your mission to take a moment for fun every
day.

My mission has evolved to a point where I
now focus on helping others communicate
powerfully within the business world – through
keynote speaking, through coaching executive
clients on their presentation skills, and
through my writing. It is my desire that people
