blog and called it “Idea Girl Consulting.”<br />

<strong>The</strong> more visitors you have on the Internet, the<br />

more visitors you will get. I post videos on my<br />

Idea Girl Consulting YouTube Channel, and<br />

I insert my blog URLS into each of the videos.<br />

Along with this, I promote my articles on Blog<br />

Catalog, Facebook, Twitter, Bing, Google, and<br />

other sites.<br />

In June 2009, I achieved Squidoo.com’s status<br />

of “Giant Squid” for having more than 50<br />

websites on Squidoo. Over the next few months,<br />

I continued to win writing awards, including the<br />

“NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month”<br />

challenge for my novel “<strong>The</strong> Calamity Girl<br />

– <strong>The</strong> Promotion,” and the “Script Frenzy”<br />

challenge for my screenplay “Forgive Me; I’m<br />

Not Perfect.” In spite of my blogging success,<br />

I was beginning to doubt whether I’d ever get<br />

published! That’s when I met Robin, and I<br />

found a new source of encouragement.<br />

Discovering Personal Development and<br />

Feeling its Power<br />

Robin and I began to correspond regularly.<br />

I continued to blog about “<strong>The</strong> Art of the<br />

Business Lunch.” In February, 2010, she<br />

sent me paperback copies of her lunch book<br />

as well as the first two “<strong>The</strong> Power of the<br />

Platform” books - “Speakers on Success”<br />

and “Speakers on Purpose.”<br />

Reading these books has changed my life<br />

drastically! I relished the diverse information<br />
