blog and called it “Idea Girl Consulting.”
The more visitors you have on the Internet, the
more visitors you will get. I post videos on my
Idea Girl Consulting YouTube Channel, and
I insert my blog URLS into each of the videos.
Along with this, I promote my articles on Blog
Catalog, Facebook, Twitter, Bing, Google, and
other sites.
In June 2009, I achieved Squidoo.com’s status
of “Giant Squid” for having more than 50
websites on Squidoo. Over the next few months,
I continued to win writing awards, including the
“NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month”
challenge for my novel “The Calamity Girl
– The Promotion,” and the “Script Frenzy”
challenge for my screenplay “Forgive Me; I’m
Not Perfect.” In spite of my blogging success,
I was beginning to doubt whether I’d ever get
published! That’s when I met Robin, and I
found a new source of encouragement.
Discovering Personal Development and
Feeling its Power
Robin and I began to correspond regularly.
I continued to blog about “The Art of the
Business Lunch.” In February, 2010, she
sent me paperback copies of her lunch book
as well as the first two “The Power of the
Platform” books - “Speakers on Success”
and “Speakers on Purpose.”
Reading these books has changed my life
drastically! I relished the diverse information
