The Power of the Platform - Speakers on Life
It was really fun. I felt free again and I learned
to trust, thanks to my brother’s “tough love.”
He helped to prepare me to cross my Bridge of
Fear.
When times are tough and fear strikes, there
is no time to ponder, “Why me?” The train
will eventually come, and it might be too late
to move. Therefore, accept that you are in the
middle of the bridge and take action - one step
at it time. Before you know it, you will have
made it through.
The Bridge of Pain
We each cross a “Bridge of Pain” at challenging
points in our lives. The good news is that once
we make the decision to cross the bridge,
we become free to move forward and get on
with our lives.
Love yourself enough to go through the
challenges that life hands you. There is much
you can give to others, no matter what your
circumstances may be. Don’t try to be like
anyone else or behave as someone else dictates
you should behave. We are all unique and we
are all needed.
I learned this lesson in dealing with my illness.
I will always be a transplant patient and blind.
I broke my vertebrae, but I can still walk. I hit
my head, but I can still think. I have to take
medications for the rest of my life, but so
what? I am still alive! I give my best each
day, crossing the bridges that lay before me.
