7.30 Final ExaminationNormally, written examinations covering the work of the entire term are given at the end of each term. During the lastweek of each term, time is set aside for final exams and all final exams are to be given during this designated time.The registrar's office will publish a finals schedule, make it available to all faculty members and post it on the<strong>Concordia</strong> web page. All final exams are to be given during the scheduled times and dates.Return to Table of Contents7.31 Simultaneous EnrollmentAll <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> Texas (CTX) students are eligible to register for courses and events on other <strong>Concordia</strong><strong>University</strong> System (CUS) campuses without additional matriculation, within applicable policies. The three programsare:Distance Learning Program: All CTX students can register for courses taught by other CUS campuses viadistance education.Visiting Student Program: All CTX students can become resident students on other CUS campuses withoutadditional matriculation.Travel Study Program: All CTX students can participate in travel/study events conducted by other CUScampuses. Applicable fees may apply.Student EligibilityStudents currently enrolled and in good standing at their home campus are eligible to apply for theSimultaneous Enrollment programs of the <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> System. Simultaneous Enrollment is aprivilege rather than a right.The home institution is responsible for establishing the qualifications of all applicants that it sends to a hostinstitution.Visiting Students are to have completed one term at the home campus and have at least a sophomorestanding, having at least a 2.00 cumulative GPA.Visiting students are limited to 2 terms (three quarters) visiting other campuses.Visiting Students do not make application for admission to the host campus.Enrollment in summer or other special short academic sessions is not part of the Visiting Student program.Traveling Students are to have completed one term at the home campus.Initiating ParticipationEach campus is to ensure that students have adequate information on Simultaneous Enrollment programs. The officeof the registrar or another appointed person on each campus will make the following information available (most ofthis information is on the school's web site):Academic catalogs from the <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> System campuses.Current academic calendars, course schedules, and materials describing special programs and trips.Simultaneous Enrollment Program application materials.<strong>Course</strong>s EligibleAny course offered at a cooperating <strong>Concordia</strong> <strong>University</strong> System campus may qualify for SimultaneousEnrollment (assuming proper prerequisite background), with the exception of courses that are unavailablebecause of specific institutional requirements.<strong>Course</strong> work should be beneficial to the overall educational program worked out between the student andtheir student's academic advisor.If the coursework is to apply to a specific program, it must be pre-approved by the advisor. Students shouldwork closely with the home institution to determine if courses taken through the Simultaneous EnrollmentProgram will meet program requirements of the home campus.Return to Table of ContentsRegistrations, Grades, and RecordsThe process for Simultaneous Enrollment Program registration begins and ends at the student's home campus,where the registrar is responsible for sending out the registration to the campus where the student is studyingand for recording the grades on the home transcript.The registrars will maintain a record of program enrollment for both incoming and outgoing students at theirown campuses.<strong>2008</strong>-<strong>2009</strong> <strong>Catalog</strong> Page 45
