Doors have hold opens anddoors, which are lockable to ingress. Exitcapacity is 1800 people (limited by 60% ofoccupancy exit through corridor 144).Completely separated from remainder ofschool facility except for one commonconcrete block wall.Openings into corridors protected by doorsas shown on door schedule. See subsequentrecommendations for installing firedetectors.V. UTILITIESHEATING PLANT: Two steam boilers heat all but the 1970addition. The original boiler is a KewaneeType C, Model 7L84 with two Iron Firemanburners of 3,500,000 BTU input capacity.Fuel supply piping and devices are in codecompliance except for heat detector wired togas valves. This boiler is used only as aback up to the new boiler.The boiler in the 1974 edition is a KewaneeType L3S-200-60 steam boiler. The burneris a Kewanee Type KF combination oil/gasunit of 8,370,000 BTUH gas and 59.8gallons per firing rates. Fuel supply pipingand devices are in code compliance. Thelibrary (1970) addition is heated and cooledby three natural gas fired rooftop furnaces.The two classrooms on the second floor ofthis area have individual classroom gasfired unit ventilators. Each unit is in codecompliance.HEAT DISTRIBUTION:The method of heat distribution is a twopipelow pressure steam distributed toradiators and slope top fin tube in the 1915sections. These devices are automaticallycontrolled in the classrooms and manuallycontrolled in all other areas of these buildingsections. Steam is distributed to unitheaters in the 1937 section as well as toradiators. These devices are automaticallycontrolled. The 1958 and 1963 classroomand cafeteria sections utilize a steam to hot3-15
