Asbestos abatement Updated Asbestos Management PlanWritten assessment as required bySec 768.988 and 763.909 of theFederal Register.Response action recommendation bythe Illinois licensed managementplanner.Note: The actual conditions of the existing Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) are delineated in the updatedasbestos Management Plan. Unless the ACM materials are friable or delaminating, the existing ACMare not required to be removed.Through an IDPH variance, repair, removal or abatement of any ACM may be performed by districtpersonnel who are IDPH-licensed.IDPH-licensed project designers, licensed asbestos abatement contractors, air-sampling professionalsand project managers for all other projects must be used.3.
