10.1 IBM WebSphere Portal Server overviewThis section provides a basic overview of IBM WebSphere Portal and portlets inorder to establish a foundation for understanding the capabilities and issues withintegrating Sametime functionality into portlets. As illustrated in Figure 10-1, theframework architecture implemented in this product provides a unified accesspoint to internal and external Web applications as well as portal access to otherlegacy applications.
