However, thesample I analyzed consists of 138 bones, most of which are femoral shafts, accountingfor 16 percent of the total sample (Figure 12). The vertebral elements are also wellrepresented in the sample (15 percent). There are relatively high concentrations of teeth(nine percent), tibial portions (nine percent), sacral fragments (eight percent), andhumeral elements (seven percent).
