C01E OTHER CARDIAC PREPARATIONS<br />

This group comprises various preparations used in the treatment of<br />

ischemic heart diseases, which cannot be classified in any of the<br />

preceding groups.<br />

C01EA Prostagl<strong>and</strong>ins<br />

This group comprises e.g. alprostadil. Specific <strong>for</strong>mulations of<br />

alprostadil <strong>for</strong> treatment of erectile dysfunction are classified in<br />

G04BE01.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> alprostadil equals the content of active substance in<br />

one ampoule.<br />

C01EB Other cardiac preparations<br />

This group comprises plain products used in the treatment of ischemic<br />

heart diseases, which cannot be classified in the preceding groups.<br />

Adenosine, which is also used as an antiarrhythmic, is classified here.<br />

Antiarrhythmics, see C01B.<br />

Other cardiovascular agents which cannot be classified in <strong>ATC</strong> group<br />

C02-C09 are also classified here.<br />

Products containing indometacin or ibuprofen, which are only used <strong>for</strong><br />

closing the ductus arteriosus in premature infants, are classified here.<br />

Indometacin used as an antiinflammatory agent is classified in<br />

M01AB01 or S01BC01.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> ibuprofen is based on the course dose.<br />

C01EX Other cardiac combination products<br />

This group comprises combined preparations, which cannot be classified<br />

in the preceding groups.<br />
