N05A ANTIPSYCHOTICS<br />

This group comprises drugs with antipsychotic actions (i.e.<br />

neuroleptics).<br />

Reserpine is classified in C02 - Antihypertensives.<br />

Antipsychotics in combination with antidepressants are classified in<br />

N06C - Psycholeptics <strong>and</strong> psychoanaleptics in combination.<br />

The group is subdivided mainly according to chemical structure.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the treatment of psychosis. The substances<br />

in this group are sometimes used <strong>for</strong> other indications in much<br />

lower doses.<br />

For depot injections, the <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the average<br />

recommended doses divided by the dosing interval.<br />

N05AA Phenothiazines with aliphatic side-chain<br />

N05AB Phenothiazines with piperazine structure<br />

N05AC Phenothiazines with piperidine structure<br />

N05AD Butyrophenone derivatives<br />

Parenteral <strong>for</strong>mulations of droperidol are classified in N01AX, while<br />
