The <strong>DDD</strong>s <strong>for</strong> combination products are based on the maintenance<br />

treatment of severe asthma or COPD (Chronic Obstructive<br />

Pulmonary Disease). The assigned <strong>DDD</strong>s cannot always be<br />

compared with the <strong>DDD</strong>s assigned <strong>for</strong> plain preparations. See list<br />

R03B OTHER DRUGS FOR OBSTRUCTIVE AIRWAY DISEASES,<br />

INHALANTS<br />

This group comprises all drugs <strong>for</strong> obstructive airway diseases <strong>for</strong><br />

inhalation excl. adrenergics (R03A).<br />

R03BA Glucocorticoids<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the starting dose in moderate to severe<br />

asthma.<br />

R03BB Anticholinergics<br />

Combinations with adrenergics are classified in R03AK.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the maintenance treatment of asthma.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s <strong>for</strong> tiotropium bromide are based on treatment of COPD<br />

(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).<br />

R03BC Antiallergic agents, excl. corticosteroids<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the prophylaxis of asthma.<br />

<strong>DDD</strong> <strong>for</strong> inhalation aerosol <strong>and</strong> inhalation powder differ in this<br />

group, due to differences in dosage recommendations <strong>for</strong> these<br />

dosage <strong>for</strong>ms.<br />
