This group comprises thyroid extracts <strong>and</strong> synthetic analogues used in<br />

the treatment of hypothyrosis.<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the treatment of hypothyrosis.<br />

H03AA Thyroid hormones<br />

This group comprises natural <strong>and</strong> synthetic thyroid hormones.<br />

Combinations of levothyroxine <strong>and</strong> liothyronine are classified at a<br />

separate 5th level: H03AA03.<br />

H03B ANTITHYROID PREPARATIONS<br />

This group comprises preparations used in the treatment of<br />

hyperthyrosis.<br />

H03BA Thiouracils<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on the treatment of hyperthyrosis.<br />

H03BB Sulfur-containing imidazole derivatives<br />

H03BC Perchlorates<br />

This group comprises iodine preparations <strong>for</strong> systemic use.<br />

H03CA Iodine therapy<br />

The <strong>DDD</strong>s are based on systemic therapy in thyroid disease. The<br />

<strong>DDD</strong> is given in amount of iodide.
