This group comprises ointments, creams, liniments etc. containing e.g.<br />

camphora, menthol, calamine. Crotamiton is classified here. When<br />

classifying products in this group, alternative groups should be<br />

considered, e.g.:<br />

D08 - Antiseptics <strong>and</strong> disinfectants<br />

M02 - Topical products <strong>for</strong> joint <strong>and</strong> muscular pain<br />

D05A ANTIPSORIATICS FOR TOPICAL USE<br />

D05AA Tars<br />

This group comprises products <strong>for</strong> topical use mainly <strong>for</strong> the treatment<br />

of psoriasis. Corticosteroids <strong>for</strong> topical use are classified in D07 -<br />

Corticosteroids, dermatological preparations.<br />

All tar preparations <strong>for</strong> dermatological use are classified in this group,<br />

except <strong>for</strong> combinations with corticosteroids.<br />

D05AC Antracen derivatives<br />

D05AD Psoralens <strong>for</strong> topical use<br />

D05AX Other antipsoriatics <strong>for</strong> topical use<br />

Corticosteroids in combination with vitamin D analogues indicated only<br />

<strong>for</strong> the treatment of psoriasis are classified in D05AX.<br />

D05B ANTIPSORIATICS FOR SYSTEMIC USE<br />

This group comprises drugs <strong>for</strong> systemic use against psoriasis.<br />

Antineoplastic agents, sometimes used in severe psoriasis, are classified<br />

in group L - Antineoplastic <strong>and</strong> immunomodulating agents.
