M03AC Other quaternary ammonium compounds<br />

Sugammadex indicated <strong>for</strong> reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced<br />

by rocuronium or vecuronium is classified in V03AB - Antidotes.<br />

M03AX Other muscle relaxants, peripherally acting agents<br />

Botulinum toxin, which is used e.g. <strong>for</strong> treatment of blepharospasm <strong>and</strong><br />

hemifacial spasm, is classified in this group.<br />

M03B MUSCLE RELAXANTS, CENTRALLY ACTING AGENTS<br />

This group comprises centrally acting muscle relaxants. Combined<br />

preparations are classified at separate 5th levels using the corresponding<br />

50-series (comb. excl. psycholeptics), or the 70-series (comb. with<br />

psycholeptics):<br />

The group is subdivided according to chemical structure.<br />

These drugs are used in different conditions associated with pain<br />

<strong>and</strong> rigidity in the muscles, joints etc.<br />

Combinations with e.g. paracetamol are classified in this group at<br />

separate 5th levels by using the 50-series.<br />
