Atrunk is two or more links combined together to become one virtual link. Goingback to our example:The circle around the two links designates a trunk defined on both switches.With this in place, if one link goes down, the other will continue to pass traffic.Even better, while both links are active, traffic will pass through both links. Thisprovides greater bandwidth between the two switches.A trunk link load balances the traffic that goes through it.
