Knowing Your MazdaDoors and LocksqPower Window Lock SwitchWith the lock switch in the unlockedposition, all power windows on each doorcan be operated.With the lock switch in the lockedposition, only the driver's side powerwindow can be operated.Locked positionUnlocked positionWARNINGUnintentional Window Operation:Unintentional power windowoperation is dangerous. A person'shands, head, or neck could be caughtby the window and result in seriousinjury. Unless a passenger needs tooperate a power window, keep thepower window lock switch in thelocked position.Fuel-Filler Lid and CapWARNINGFuel Spray:Fuel spray is dangerous. Fuel canburn skin and eyes and cause illness ifingested. Fuel spray is released whenthere is pressure in the fuel tank andthe fuel cap is removed too quickly.When removing the fuel cap, loosenthe cap slightly and wait for anyhissing to stop. Then remove it.Fuel Vapor:Fuel vapor is dangerous. It could beignited by sparks or flames causingserious burns and injuries. Beforerefueling, stop the engine, and alwayskeep sparks and flames away from thefiller neck. Additionally, use of theincorrect fuel filler cap or not using afuel filler cap may result in fuel leak,which could result in serious burns ordeath in an accident.CAUTIONAlways use only a genuine Mazda fuelcap or an approved equivalent,available at an Authorized MazdaDealer. The wrong cap can result in aserious malfunction of the fuel andemission control systems. It may alsocause the check engine light in theinstrument cluster to illuminate.3-18
