Other indicator of hospital service is TOI. Turn over Interval is average daywhen hospital bed is unoccupied, counted from the last usage to reused (averagelength of unoccupied bed from one patient to the next one). Ideally, the bed isunoccupied only for 1‐3 days. During 2003‐2009, TOI in hospital ranged from 2.9‐6.3 days. Only in 2007 and 2008 it had the ideal of 1‐3 days. In 2009, TOI of beds inIndonesia had interval of 6.3 days unocupied. By province, only Bali (2 days) andJambi (2.6 days) had the ideal TOI.GDR or Gross Death Rate is adalah a general death rate for every 1000discharged patients from a hospital. It does not consider how many days a patientstays in hospital from the first day to death. The ideal GDR is < 45 per 1,000discharged patients. In 2010, GDR in Indonesia was 38.8 deaths per 1000discharged patients. Since 2005‐2010, NDR rangedfrom 18‐23.6 per 1000 discharged patients. Therefore, NDR in Indonesia had metthe ideal target < 25 per 1000 discharged patients.98
