Accreditation of InstitutionWith so many institutions of health personnel education that exist today, theMinistry of Health seeks to continuously improve the quality of education.Accreditation is one of the construction efforts done by the government toward theexisting institutions of health education, also to see the quality of each institution.Accreditation is carried out for new institutions that have been running forclasses up to 5 st semester and for existing institutions that have expired accreditation.Starting in 2004 Center for Health Personnel Education (Ind=Pusat Pendidikan TenagaKesehatan=Pusdiknakes) has performed accreditation of majors/study programs ofexisting health polytechnic studies. Until the year 2010, 192 study programs of healthpolytechnic (79.01%) have been accredited and 51 study programs (20.99%) have notyet accredited. Of those number that have been accredited, there were 87 studyprograms (45.31%) with strata A, 100 study programs (52.08%) with strata B and 5study programs (2.60%) with strata C.
