DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION(i)<strong>the</strong> pers<strong>on</strong> is <strong>of</strong>ficially accepted <strong>and</strong> registered with <strong>the</strong> ForeignMinistry or Head Office <strong>of</strong> an Internati<strong>on</strong>al Organisati<strong>on</strong> as <strong>the</strong>dependent <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> foreign representative for <strong>the</strong> purposes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ViennaC<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> <strong>Diplomatic</strong> <strong>and</strong> C<strong>on</strong>sular Relati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>of</strong> 1961 <strong>and</strong> 1963respectively, or a Treaty entered into with <strong>the</strong> South AfricanGovernment <strong>and</strong> citing <strong>the</strong> applicable Article in <strong>the</strong> Treaty regulatingdependents;(ii)<strong>the</strong> dependent child is <strong>of</strong>ficially recognised by <strong>the</strong> Foreign Ministry asa member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> diplomatic household for <strong>the</strong> durati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> term <strong>of</strong>duty <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> transferred representative in <strong>the</strong> Republic <strong>of</strong> South Africa;(iii)any o<strong>the</strong>r dependent family member who is financially dependent <strong>on</strong><strong>and</strong> residing full time in <strong>the</strong> Republic <strong>of</strong> South Africa at <strong>the</strong> samepremises <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> foreign representative during <strong>the</strong> latter’s term <strong>of</strong> dutyin <strong>the</strong> Republic.PrivateServants1.3.13 The Department regularises employment <strong>of</strong> foreign private servantsaccording to <strong>the</strong> Vienna C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> <strong>Diplomatic</strong> <strong>and</strong> C<strong>on</strong>sularRelati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>of</strong> 1961 <strong>and</strong> 1963 respectively, subject to employmentwith <strong>on</strong>e employer; reciprocity c<strong>on</strong>firmati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> placing <strong>on</strong> recordwith <strong>the</strong> Department two n<strong>on</strong>-transferable repatriati<strong>on</strong> guaranteesPage 15 <strong>of</strong> 90
