DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION2.3.5 Accreditati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> Internati<strong>on</strong>al Organisati<strong>on</strong>s pers<strong>on</strong>nelHead <strong>of</strong> Office (a) The Department requires a copy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>firmatory Letter <strong>of</strong>Assignment as Head <strong>of</strong> Office issued by <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Organisati<strong>on</strong>,presented to <strong>the</strong> relevant Cabinet Minister as well as an accreditati<strong>on</strong>applicati<strong>on</strong>, under cover <strong>of</strong> a <strong>Diplomatic</strong> Note.(b)The Head <strong>of</strong> Office is accredited as follows, subject to <strong>the</strong> Treaty:(i)(ii)(iii)(iv)(v)D-series identity cards endorsed with full diplomatic status;<strong>Diplomatic</strong> listing;D-D number plates for privately owned vehicles;VAT refunds <strong>on</strong> privately owned vehicles: two year ownership;Fuel levy rebates.The Head <strong>of</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> an Internati<strong>on</strong>al Organisati<strong>on</strong> is allowed <strong>on</strong>eforeign private servant regulated by <strong>the</strong> Department subject to tworepatriati<strong>on</strong> guarantees as prescribed in Part 1 <strong>of</strong> this <str<strong>on</strong>g>Policy</str<strong>on</strong>g>. Theprivate servant shall apply for courtesy visas at South Africanmissi<strong>on</strong>s abroad subject to presenting to <strong>the</strong> missi<strong>on</strong> certified copies <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> two prescribed repatriati<strong>on</strong> guarantees.Page 48 <strong>of</strong> 90
