11.2 NMDFC gives special focus to availability of credit to the Minorities residing in NorthEastern Region. NMDFC schemes are operational in the North Eastern States through SCAwith the exception of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Sikkim. Under Term Loan & Microcredit schemes, out of ` 1750.07 Crores provided to the minorities all over the countrytill 31/12/2011, the share of North Eastern States has been `126.51 Crores (7.22%) for41,433 beneficiaries. In the current year out of total allocation of ` 352.52 Crores in thecountry, an allocation of ` 33.70 Crores (9.55%) has been made for the North EasternstRegion and up to 31 December 2011, an amount of ` 6.50 Crores has been released.35
