General Informationtuition, special fees, and costsDuring the <strong>2002</strong>–2003 academic year, full-time tuition for master’s and doctoral studentsis $11,550 per term in the fall and spring terms. Students in the first year of the GraduateEntry Prespecialty in Nursing also have a summer tuition fee of $9,100. Tuition for parttimestudy is determined per term according to the total number of years it takes tocomplete the degree requirements. Nonmatriculated part-time study is available at $870per credit. More information is available from the Student Affairs Office.Acceptance FeeA nonrefundable fee of $600 is required within two weeks of the receipt of an offer ofadmission in order to secure a place in the entering class. For matriculating students,$300 will be credited to the fall term tuition.Required FeesThe <strong>University</strong> requires hospitalization insurance for all students. Students are billed$852 per year for single student coverage with the <strong>Yale</strong> Health Plan. This fee may bewaived with proof of alternative coverage for each year of enrollment. Students are alsoresponsible for the cost of equipment, uniforms, books, photocopying, transportation toand from clinical sites, and on-site parking, if needed. Physical assessment courses havea lab fee of up to $200, and some clinical courses may also have a lab fee.Other FeesService fees are charged for late registration, course schedule changes after the add/dropperiod, Internet connectivity from a student residence, late return of library materials,and the like.student accounts and billsStudent accounts, billing, and related services are administered through the Office ofStudent Financial Services, which is located at 246 Church Street. The telephonenumber is 203.432.2700.<strong>Yale</strong> Charge AccountStudents who sign and return a <strong>Yale</strong> Charge Card Account Authorization form will beable to charge designated optional items and services to their student accounts. Studentswho want to charge toll calls made through the <strong>University</strong>’s telephone system to theiraccounts must sign and return this Charge Card Account Authorization. The <strong>University</strong>may withdraw this privilege from students who do not pay their monthly bills on a timelybasis.
