All full-timedegree candidates are eligible for financial aid in the form of loans, scholarships, andemployment. In order to be considered for aid, U.S. citizens must complete the FreeApplication for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Paper versionsare available at public libraries around the country. International students must completean International Student Financial Aid Application, available from the School. All studentsmust also complete the School of Nursing Financial Aid Application, which can beobtained from the School. Federal guidelines and availability of funds change each year;therefore, instructions are revised every November for the following year. Each scholar receives a scholarshipof $2,500 and participates in a leadership development program directed by thedean. In addition, an allowance of $500 is available for discretionary use in support of thescholar’s professional development or leadership project. This is a merit-based scholarshipand no statement of financial need is required. Eligibility criteria are established inthe spring of each year for the following year’s scholars.
