These activitiesinitiated since 1989, include the following projects:1. Collection of okra and eggplant germplasm' in SouthAsia2. Biological mechanisms determining recalcitrance inseeds of tea, cocoa and jack£ruitAlso supported a project with the National AgriculturalResearch Centre, Hill Crops Improvement Programme, Kabre,Nepal on evaluation of barley, buckwheat, amaranth, finger millet,foxtail millet, proso millet etc. which has been completed.
