CHAPTER 5The percentage satisfaction level <strong>of</strong>family accommodation for Gazetted Officers(GOs) has marginally increased from25.68% in 2010 to 25.82% in 2011 whilethe percentage satisfaction level <strong>of</strong> UpperSubordinates has decreased from 29.50% inyear 2010 to 29.08% in 2011. The percentagelevel satisfaction <strong>of</strong> Lower Subordinates levelhas decreased from 25.70% in the year 2010to 25.22% in year 2011. The main reasonfor the decrease in the percentage levelsatisfaction <strong>and</strong> relatively lower satisfactionrate for Lower <strong>and</strong> Upper Subordinates is dueto significant increase in the total strength <strong>of</strong>Upper Subordinates <strong>and</strong> Lower Subordinatein the State <strong>Police</strong> Forces sanctioned bythe States/UTs during the last ten years.Overall the rising trend <strong>of</strong> availability <strong>of</strong> totalnumber <strong>of</strong> houses for police personnel isan encouraging development though muchmore action <strong>and</strong> at faster pace too, is desiredfor this purpose.
