At SIs/Sergeants/ASIs level the highest <strong>of</strong> 7984police personnel from Tamil Nadu, 4,952from Delhi <strong>and</strong> 3,147 from Haryana weregiven in-service training during 2011. Some<strong>of</strong>ficers, out <strong>of</strong> all those trained in service,did get training exposure more than oncein different programmes. Out <strong>of</strong> a total<strong>of</strong> 62,296 constables who were given inservicetraining, the maximum <strong>of</strong> 12,410were from Tamil Nadu, followed by 8,507from Maharashtra <strong>and</strong> 4,670 from Haryana<strong>Police</strong>. Details are given in Table – 9.3. (PageNo. 110)Information on IPS OfficersData relating to IPS Officers has also beencollected & complied for as on 1.1.<strong>2012</strong>. Thesanctioned strength <strong>of</strong> IPS <strong>of</strong>ficers was 4482 atAll India level. Out <strong>of</strong> 4482, only 3,207 were inposition. At National level only 175 <strong>of</strong>ficers gottraining Abroad during 2011. 240 <strong>of</strong>ficers wereon deputation under the State Governments,30 <strong>of</strong>ficers were on deputation from state tostate govt. <strong>and</strong> 442 <strong>of</strong>ficers were on deputationto Central Govt.Details are given in Table 9.4 (Page 111)107
