CHAPTER 6The information on number <strong>of</strong> familyquarters constructed during the year 2011 hasalso been compiled. At all India level 3,555family quarters were constructed for UpperSubordinates <strong>and</strong> 16,355 family quarters wereconstructed for Lower Subordinates in State<strong>Police</strong> Force. Details are given in Table -6.1(Page No.92)There are 21 <strong>Police</strong> Housing Corporationsin different states <strong>of</strong> the country which aremainly responsible for the construction <strong>of</strong>family quarters <strong>and</strong> <strong>Police</strong> Office buildings forthe state police forces. Details are given inTable – 6.2. (Page No. 93)As on 01.01.<strong>2012</strong> only 5.46 lakhs familyquarters were available for over 16.93 lakhspolice personnel in the country.Information has also been compiled onnumber <strong>of</strong> <strong>Police</strong> Office Buildings – <strong>Police</strong>Stations, <strong>Police</strong> Posts, Sub-Divisional <strong>Police</strong>Offices, Districts <strong>Police</strong> Offices, DistrictReserve <strong>Police</strong> Lines, Range <strong>and</strong> Zonal <strong>Police</strong>headquarters <strong>and</strong> District <strong>Police</strong> Lines beingoperated from Government or Hired Buildingsin different States/UTs as on 1.1.<strong>2012</strong>.Details are given in Table – 6.3 (Page No.94-95)91
