A comparative morphological description of the species comparative anatomicaldescription of the leaves and morphological description of their seeds was made.Species of the genus Cynara L. and their practical application is still little known inthis country. The ancient Greeks and Romans used it as food and for the treatmentof various diseases. They are an excellent source of vitamins (A, C and group B),minerals (sodium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, potassium) and fiber.Rich is tsinarin - a powerful antioxidant, which is not contained in any othervegetable. According to some authors, Cynara scolymus is a cultivar derived fromCynara cardunculus. Класът се отличава с малко над средното за брой итегло на зърната. Bulgarian local rye genotypeswere characterised with negative correlation between stem height and yield. Thetested rye genotypes had small to above medium length of the upper internode andvery long and relatively thin lower internode (2nd from bottom). The number ofstem nodes was from intermediate to numerous. There were both short-stemmed tolong-stem samples. Vegetation period varied between short and intermediate. Thelength of ear and number and weight of seeds exceeded the medium values. The1000 grain mass was small to medium but with high total protein, lysine andhistidine contents.113
