От района са известни и 5 вида бръмбари, включени в списъците по Natura2000: Osmoderma eremita, Lucanus cervus, Propomacrus bimucronatus,Cerambyx cerdo, Rosalia alpina. Богатството на редки, ендемични изастрашени видове членестоноги в Странджа планина определя нейнотоконсервационно значение като приоритетен район за запазване набиоразнообразието.RARE, ENDEMIC AND THREATENED ARTHROPODS FROMSTRANDZHA MOUNTAIN (BULGARIA)А. The presented data are result ofthe studies conducted in 2009 on the project “Investigation of model epigeobiontand geobiont animal groups as a potential for long-term monitoring andconservation of the biodiversity in Strandzha Mountain (Bulgaria and Turkey)”.From the investigated invertebrate groups, six were included in the IUCN red listof threatened species – 5 ant species (Hymenoptera, Formicidae): Anergatesatratulus, Strongylognathus kratochvili, Temnothorax recedens, Formicapratensis, Formica rufa and one ground beetle species Carabus intricatus(Coleoptera, Carabidae). Red wood ant F. rufa was protected species by theBiodiversity Low in Bulgaria as well. On the territory of Strandzha 13 rare antspecies were established. Nine Balkan endemic species were found – 4 opilionids(Arachnida, Opiliones) - Dasylobus beschkovi, Rafalskia olympica bulgarica,Rilaena buresi, 4 Auchenorrhyncha species (Homoptera): Callodictya krueperi,Ranissus edirneus, Thamnotettix thrax, Dryodurgades anatolicus and 1 groundbeetle Carabus wiedemanni vaitoiani. Among the harvestmen (Arachnida,Opiliones) in Strandzha 4 Balkan subendemic species (mainly anatoliancaucasian)werefound. One Bulgarian endemic carabid species (Procerusscabrosus) was established as well. Thirteen ant species, 5 carabid species, 5Pselaphinae species (Staphylinidae), 4 Erotylidae species (Coleoptera) and 1 beetlefrom family Rhysodidae - Omoglymmius germari which are presented on theStrandzha territory have limited general distribution and were known from a fewlocalities in Bulgaria. Five beetle species included in Natura 2000 were recorded:Osmoderma eremita, Lucanus cervus, Propomacrus bimucronatus, Cerambyxcerdo, Rosalia alpina. The richness of the rare, endemic and endangered arthropodspecies defines the high conservation value and significance of the Strandzhamountain for the biodiversity protection.142
