Растителността, нейният видов състав и структура допринасят заестетическия облик на ландшафта. В парка са концентрирани едни от найредкитеза планината и България растителни видове, някои, съхраненихилядолетия, свидетелстват за историята на природните комплекси всветовен мащаб. Формирането и съхранението на ендемична и реликтнафлора в парка е резултат от сложни палеогеографски и палеоклиматичнипромени, протекли от средата на терциера до наши дни. Многообразието отрастителни видове, както и техните хабитати, определят Национален парк“Рила” като територия с висока консервационна значимост. Някои видовевисши растения имат много ограничено разпространение, поради нискарепродуктивност и висока уязвимост. Растителните видове с консервационназначимост са незаменим природен капитал, който не може да бъде създаденили заменен с друг от човека.RILA NATIONAL PARK AND ITS PLANT DIVERSITYN. In fieldstudies during the period 2003-2009, we recorded 1218 plant species (according tothe Management Plan of the Rila National Park, their total number isapproximately 1400 species). The vegetation, its species composition and structurecontribute to the aesthetic appearance of the landscape. In the park, the rarestBulgarian mountain plant species are concentrated, some of them preserved formillennia and being indicative for the history of the natural complexes in theworld. The formation and preservation of endemic and relict flora in the park is theresult of the complex of paleographic and paleoclimatic changes, which took placefrom mid-tertiary to the present day. The diversity of plant species and theirhabitats characterise the Rila National Park as an area of high conservationsignificance. Some species of higher plants have very limited distribution due totheir low reproductive potential and high vulnerability. Species of conservationimportance are irreplaceable natural capital that cannot be created or replaced byhumans.138
