ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT ON THEVEGETATION COVER IN THE REGION OF BANSKO SKI ZONED. StoevaAssociation of Parks in BulgariaBansko Ski Zone: what we lose and what we gain from nature? The presentresearch was performed with a view to assessing the changes in the vegetationcover on the territory of Bansko Ski Complex as simultaneously a phitocenoticcharacteristics is made of the newly formed plant communities in the region. Tothis purpose the method of setting temporary sample grounds was applied. Thesyntaxonomic status of the described newly formed communities is determined bythe ruderal communities classification of Brown-Blanket. The created ski zone islocated in the coniferous forests belt and the forestless alpine area above it. Themost typical natural plant communities in this region are the following: sprucecommunities (Picea abies), European silver fir (Abies alba), communities ofMacedonian pine (Pinus peuce) and Mountain pine communities (Pinus mugo). Inthe alpine area best represented are the communities of Sesleria comosa. As at thetime of the research the most distributed in the region of the ski runs andequipments were the newly formed communities of: Assoc. Carduo acanthoides –Onopordetum acanthi Soo 1947, Echium vulgare-Melilotus albus, Assoc.Campanulo-sparsae-Epilobieta angustifolii M.Dimitrov 2004, Cirsiumcandelabrum – Salix caprea and others. The work with heavy machines for theformation of ski layouts destructs the soil layer in addition. From the undertakenuntil now anti-erosion measures the best effect was derived from the gabions butfor a period that is not longer than 40 years. The activities connected with theartificial snow are dangerous in the long-term perspective as they diminish thewater resources and disrupt the water cycle. The created ski zone with Bansko as acenter, irrespectively of its tourist potential for the economic development of theregion, has negative influence with unforeseeable consequences.28ВЛИЯНИЕ НА АНТРОПОГЕННАТА ФРАГМЕНТАЦИЯ НАЕСТЕСТВЕНИТЕ ГОРИ ВЪРХУ МИРМЕКОФАУНАТА ВНАЦИОНАЛЕН ПАРК „ПИРИН” – ПРЕДВАРИТЕЛНИ РЕЗУЛТАТИВ.
