In the first six categories, youare to enter the number of times that you fail to observethe virtues indicated, in thought, word and deed. Forexample, if you fail in "Non-violence" in thought, wordand deed, four times in one day, you are to enter thisfigure in the column provided under the day on whichthe failuresIt is not necessary to write a confession to the Masterevery time you commit a misdemeanor. The MasterPower is quite aware of the lapses of His disciple. andwishes only that they become aware of these lapses andnot repeat them. Let your confessions be honestly andopenly recorded in the various columns on the selfintrospectiondiary. This is the sublime principle behindthe correct use of the diary form.?'If all initiates give a proper study to the books andCircular Letters and also attend the Satsang, there shouldbe no need for them to write to the Master with anyquestion or problem, the solution of which already liesat hand. All initiates should understand that to write tome on any problem or question but delays the answer,which could otherwise be known within a short time byfollowing the advice given above.
