He must sacrifice hisbody, his mind and his possessions-nay, even his verylife should be consecrated at the feet of the Master. It isnot because the Master is covetous of any reward fromHis disciple, but that the disciple should sacrifice all heholds dear in this life. The Master does not accept aspeck of it, but gives them back, all intact, as a sacrificialoffering. He instructs the disciple not to defile himselfby misuse of his possessions, but to make the best use ofthem to the benefit of his brethren, the poor and theneedy, the sick and the infirm, so as to help in the harmoniousdevelopment of all around him. Let the disciplestand before his Master with his all at His feet, but theMaster would accept naught out of it. He would thusstand in full resignation, ready to receive the Grace ofthe Master and the beginning of his realization. He hasto make himself a vehicle for the Master, like a rebeckor a lyre to be played upon, creating sweet symphoniesof the Holy Naam.
