BENEFITS OF COMMUNION WITH NAAM'('3When once the life-stream becomes audible, one neverfeels lonely; for he hears its reverberations wherever hemay be, at home or abroad. The Voice of God keeps remindinghim of the true home of his Father. The practiceof the Sound Principle rids one of all troubles and a&-tions, the five deadly passions, the lusts of the flesh and ofthe mind, leaving the soul in pristine transparency, detachedfrom all that is of the world and worldly. Shabdis the supporting staff both in the journey of this life andof the life hereafter. With the experience of transcendencebeyond the confines of the body, he becomes fearlessof death and when the allotted span of worldlyexistence comes to an end, he throws off, once and forall the mortal coils of the flesh, as easily and happily asone does his old and worn-out garments, and is freedfrom the cycle of births and deaths and goes openly andhonorably to his home in heaven. The practice of andthe communion with the Word brings in the heaven'slight, and one feels divinely blessed. It gives intuitiveknowledge of the self and of God, and one experienceswithin himself the integral realization of the soul as onecommon life principle, extending everywhere, in andaround him, without any barriers and limitations of timeand space - for all life is one, from eternity to eternity,irrespective of so many forms and patterns through whichit may manifest. The moment one rises into the Timeless,he himself becomes timeless. This, in fact, is true meditationand true devotion leadmg to the true love of Godand His creation, his own self expanding and coincidingwith that of IS Creator.59
