HOW TO DO YOUR DIARY3 'as to what course of action he should take.If any initiate feels that he must have some outerguidance on the Teachings, he should discuss his questionsand/or problems with the Group Leader or Representativeof his area.However, there is one very important point that mustbe born in mind by all, whether initiates, Group Leaders,or Representatives. This is, that Group Leaders andRepresentatives are there purely for the purpose of givingout the theoretical side of the Teachings and arrangingfacilities whereby the initiates of their group or areacan meet together for Satsang. Group Leaders and Representativesare not to be used as crutches for the initiatesto lean upon. Nor should the initiates look to themfor any purpose but to help them in understanding theTeachings. In other words, initiates should not look tothem for spiritual guidance in any shape or form, asthis is the function of the Master. If an initiate looks toa Group Leader or Representative for spiritual guidance,he automatically places a blockage in between himselfand the Master, and his spiritual progress will suffer inconseq~ence.~~The diary forms should be a true reflection of yourown inner state. The failures made should be as an openself-confession of the shortcomings which stand betweenyou and the Master. Similarly, devoting regular timeto the Spiritual Practices is an indication of the positivegrowth. If you live up to the sublime purpose behind thekeeping of the diary, you will progress from day to day,and achieve your goal in this lifetime."
