5 WEIGHTS AND CENTER OF GRAVITY5.1 IntroductionThis section contains the maximum load, procedure to weigh thegyrocopter, current empty mass <strong>and</strong> empty moment of mass <strong>and</strong> themethod of calculation to determine the flight mass <strong>and</strong> center of gravityas well as a list of all installed equipment when the gyrocopter wasweighed before leaving the manufacturing plant.Warning: Exceeding the CG-limits of the gyrocopter may have fatalconsequences. Add-ons <strong>and</strong> the installation of further accessoriesmust be done by an authorized service work shop <strong>and</strong> must bedocumented in the manual of the gyrocopter.The operator of the gyrocopter is obliged to maintain current data inthis manual <strong>and</strong> make correct documentation after any change.The pilot in comm<strong>and</strong> is obliged to calculate the pay load <strong>and</strong> tomake sure that the CG is within the permissible limits. The validMTOW may not be exceeded.The minimum pilot’s weight is 65 kg. Lighter pilots must carry extraweight in a waste haness.
